All the world’s a stage,

And all the men and women merely players;

They have their exits and their entrances;

And one man in his time plays many parts,

When studying Emotional Intelligence, in a way you are studying the emotional control and manipulation of yourself and others. It can feel inauthentic to manage your own and others’ emotions. But, maybe putting on a social mask is just part of playing your part on the stage?
